What to Expect During the Workshop
This 3-hour virtual course is taught by author and former journalist Paula L. Jones. Its purpose is to guide aspiring indie authors through the writing and self-publishing process.
Prior to the course, the writers must register to attend using the form below and pay a $35 registration fee. They'll then send Jones the short story they intend to publish. The story must be between 1,000 and 3,000 words and it should be emailed to Jones no later than Sunday, September 1, 2024.
On the day of the workshop, which is Sunday, September 9, 2024, Jones will send their story back to them formatted as an eBook that meets Amazon's standards along with an attractive book cover.
During the program, Jones will follow the itinerary below:
During the final hour of the workshop, Jones will help the participants log into their Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing accounts and upload the final versions of their eBook manuscripts.
After the workshop, Amazon will contact each participant by email to let them know if their eBook has been approved and published or if it requires additional attention. Any writers who receive an email from Amazon explaining that their eBook requires additional attention are welcome to contact Jones for assistance.
